Switched on Seniors.

Helping Seniors Stay Connected.

Next meeting:  Thursday, March 12th, 2026, in person at

                                    St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church

We are committed to making life a little less lonely for isolated seniors.

One of the ways that we want to help is to get seniors comfortable with basic technology.  We want to help you to stay in touch with family and friends, access programs and services available online, and find information quickly and efficiently.

Our weekly meetings, this web site, and our newsletters are there to help you feel more connected to your community, and give you a place to learn & have fun at the same time.  Remember it's FREE, there are never any charges or cost to you to be a Switched-on Senior!

Topic: Discover the Joy of Painting -- At Any Age!

Participating in a painting class offers seniors far more than a finished piece. It nurtures creativity, sharpens the mind, and lifts the spirit. Painting encourages focus and mindfulness, helping to reduce stress and promote relaxation. The gentle, repetitive movements involved in brushwork can also support fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Beyond the art itself, painting classes create meaningful social connections. Sharing laughter, ideas, and inspiration in a welcoming group setting helps reduce feelings of isolation and builds a strong sense of community. Whether you are a beginner or returning to a long-lost hobby, painting provides a safe and encouraging space to explore self-expression and build confidence.

** Added Bonus: This week, following our program, you are welcome to stay for the 'Soup and Sandwich Luncheon.'
Please know that there is no cost for this offering.  A basket will be available for those who would like to make a monetary donation.  Thank you!

Topic:  Nutrition For Older Adults

Did you know that proper nutrition is especially important for older adults because the body’s needs change with age? Eating a balanced diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats helps maintain strength, energy, and overall health. Good nutrition supports the immune system, helps keep bones and muscles strong, and can reduce the risk of chronic conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, and osteoporosis. It also plays an important role in maintaining brain health, supporting memory and concentration. For many older adults, proper nutrition can improve mood, increase independence, and enhance quality of life, allowing them to stay active and engaged in their daily activities.

Topic:  Gentle Stretch and Strengthen Chair Yoga with Maureen from Moyoga

In gentle yoga, you may do standing postures (holding on to a chair), forward bends, low-impact backbends, and seated stretches.  Chair yoga can help you feel stronger, increase flexibility, loosen and stretch painful muscles, reduce chronic pain, decrease pain, and improve balance and circulation.  These exercises help to reduce risk factors and improve mobility as we age!  Remember that mobility is our ability to move freely and easily, vital to living an independent, healthy life!
Remember that consistency is the key to a stronger YOU!
